The Masters Message: 2008

I am truly thankful for the opportunity to serve as Worshipful Master of Wood County Lodge. I am grateful for the current Brothers who have entrusted me with this honor as well as the many others who have maintained and preserved the integrity of our Lodge over its long rich history. As we look forward to another busy year of degree work I know I will receive the same level of help and support that have always been available to me and I thank the brethren in advance for their continued good work. I'm confident that we're going to have a great year, and I'm looking forward to doing my best as Master Stephen D. Newsted, Worshipful Master

Where do Masons Come From.

Not one person ever joined Freemasonry because Winston Churchill or Walt Disney was a Mason. Not one person ever joined because of any of the many great Masonic heroes. Joining Freemasonry doesn't make you any of those people. Not one person ever joined so that they could give money to charity. You don't have to be a Mason to do that. Not one person ever joined because of out attention to Lodge rules and regulations.They don't know about our procedures. They joined because someone they knew and admired was a Mason. It could have been a father, a friend, a man down the street, or someone a thousand miles away. Who, it didn't matter. They admired him and wanted to do the things he did, and they did it by the millions. Want to help our growth? Be the kind of man someone admires because someone will notice.
